SUMMARY:John Lilly And The Earth Coincidence Control Office
DESCRIPTION:Dir. Michael Almareyda and Courtney Stephens – 2026 – 89m \n\n\nThe daring experimenter Dr. John C. Lilly dedicated his life to radical self-investigation and unlocking the mysteries of consciousness and communication. “My body is my laboratory” was the motto\, and his research on the language of dolphins and whales – as well as psychedelics and sensory deprivation – assured his own cult status in 20th-century pop culture as the basis for Ken Russel’s ALTERED STATES and Mike Nichols’s THE DAY OF THE DOLPHIN.  Directors Michael Almareyda and Courtney Stephens\, along with narrator Chloë Sevigny\, explore the life of a determined scientist and his experiments into the psychonautical unknown. \n“An illuminating work of cultural archaeology … Earth Coincidence paints Lilly as a 20th-century polymath\, a one-of-a-kind maverick.”—THE FILM STAGE

SUMMARY:Mr. Nobody Against Putin
DESCRIPTION:Dir. David Borenstein & Pavel Talankin – 2025 – 90m – Denmark\, Czechia\, Germany – In Russian w/English subtitles – Valid for Punch Cards \n\n\nPasha Talankin is an unlikely hero—a beloved Russian primary school teacher\, known as a mentor and prankster who offers students a safe haven in his office. After Russia invades Ukraine\, Pasha’s role in the school changes dramatically as he is reluctantly drawn into Putin’s propaganda machine. Forced to promote state-sanctioned messages and horrified by the transformation of his school and community\, he struggles with guilt and a sense of powerlessness\, leading him to become an international whistleblower. \nAs the school’s videographer\, Pasha documents intimate and revealing footage of Putin’s regime\, capturing the rise of militarized children’s groups\, repressive laws\, fervent nationalism\, and the recruitment of graduating students to fight in the war. When he learns his own life may be at risk\, Pasha is forced to plan a dangerous escape from Russia. \nDirected by David Borenstein and co-directed by Pasha Talankin\, this uniquely collaborative film is as captivating and joyful as it is eye-opening and sobering. Mr. Nobody Against Putin showcases rare footage that reveals the profound impact of Putin’s regime on the lives of everyday Russians\, particularly its children. \n“An endearing\, infuriating\, and despairing non-fiction portrait of a country’s final descent into oppressive authoritarianism\, all of it shot covertly by one brave teacher\, it’s a striking work of rebel cinema.” – The Daily Beast \n“Through the eyes of its delightfully brave\, yet utterly relatable subject (also the de facto cinematographer)\, this terrifying\, revelatory and poignant exposé offers an unseen human angle on an ongoing conflict.” – Variety \n“Remarkable… An exemplary work of cinematic modernism.” – Richard Brody\, The New Yorker \n“Quietly revelatory.” – Matt Zoller Seitz\, RogerEbert.com \n“Nothing short of an act of rebellion.” – Nick Schager\, The Daily Beast \n“Delightfully brave\, yet utterly relatable… Offers an unseen human angle on an ongoing conflict.” – Carlos Aguilar\, Variety \n“In the wave of documentaries about the Ukraine War that have come out over the past two years\, there hasn’t been one that’s offered what Mr. Nobody Against Putin does — and certainly not with such wit\, verve\, and insight.” – Christian Blauvelt\, Indiewire

SUMMARY:Aliens (1986)
DESCRIPTION:Dir. James Cameron – 1986 – 137m \n\n\nA MIDNITE CONCESSIONS SPECIAL!  ADVANCE TICKETS AVAILABLE SOON ONLINE\, CHECK BE HERE SHORTLY! \nCome get your experience of the ultimate sci-fi thriller with Aliens (1986)\, James Cameron’s groundbreaking sequel to Ridley Scott’s Alien.  Sigourney Weaver returns as Ellen Ripley\, the fearless survivor\, who is reluctantly pulled back into the terrifying world of xenomorphs when a colony on LV-426 goes dark. Armed with pulse rifles\, power loaders\, and relentless courage\, Ripley and a team of tough space marines face an onslaught of alien horror in one of cinema’s most intense and action-packed sci-fi adventures. \n“From the small character details to the massive set-pieces\, Cameron expands the Alien mythology and switches sub genres seamlessly. It truly is a perfect sequel.” – Joe Lipsett\, Horror Queers Podcast \n“Let’s not mince words: Aliens is the greatest horror movie since Frankenstein. Here is a rare instance in which a sequel is infinitely superior to the original. Alien\, the 1979 thriller\, now seems like a preliminary sketch.” – Scott Cain\, Atlanta Journal-Constitution \n“What can I say? Aliens is the scariest and most exciting movie I’ve seen in several years. My adrenalin was still racing an hour later. It’s involving. It has well-drawn characters. It has consistency. And Sigourney Weaver gives a dazzling performance.” – Lou Lumenick\, Bergen Record (New Jersey)

SUMMARY:Rebel With A Clause - With Best Selling Grammar Guru Author Ellen Jovin In Person!
DESCRIPTION:Dir. Brandt Johnson – 2025 – 86m \n\n\nCome join filmmaker Brandt Johnson and star Ellen Jovin for this one-of-a-kind language event! Ellen will set up her Grammar Table at the theater before each screening\, so come early to get your grammar debates resolved! After the movie you are invited to stick around for a Q&A with Brandt and Ellen\, followed by a book signing of Ellen’s national bestseller. There is plenty of New Mexico grammar footage in the film! \nOne fall day\, Ellen Jovin set up a folding table on a Manhattan sidewalk with a homemade sign that said “Grammar Table.” Right away\, passersby began excitedly asking questions\, telling stories\, and filing complaints. \nWhat happened next is the stuff of grammar legend. \nEllen and her filmmaker husband\, Brandt Johnson\, took the table on the road\, visiting all 50 states as Brandt shot the grammar action. But this story transcends grammar. It’s the story of an epic quest in a divided time to bring us all closer together. \n“Grammar fans flock to a film about participles and gerunds” — New York Times \n“The funniest movie so far this year” — The Berkshire Edge \n“If Jovin is the very definition of a people person\, always inviting and positive while looking for any excuse for a hearty laugh\, Rebel with a Clause is the very definition of a crowd pleaser\, a documentary focused on a subject everyone has opinions about” —  Laura Clifford\, Reeling Reviews

SUMMARY:ADULT. w/ Donzii\, The Treasury
DESCRIPTION:DETROIT SYNTH PUNK \n\n\n\n\nADULT. is not cooperating. For over 25 years\, the dystopian Detroit synth-punk institution founded byNicola Kuperus and Adam Lee Miller has embodied steadfast frustration\, distrust\, and apprehension. Onemight expect the edges to soften with time\, but ADULT. is not interested in the comforts of legacy. Theduo’s music has never sounded as visceral\, urgent\, and downright angry as it does on the culminating\,uncompromisingKissing Luck Goodbye\, their scorched-earth 10th LP and fourth with Dias Records. Builtwith upgraded gear and a whole new library of sounds\, the material is crushingly dynamic\, louder yetclearer\, with Kuperus’ commanding delivery given greater prominence in the mix\, outlining an arsenal ofvivid\, caustic calls\, chants\, and musings. Laughter\, whether in the lyrics or as a possessed presence\,serves as a leitmotif that speaks to the menacing absurdity of modern times. “THE CHAOS IS WHATTHEY WANT\,” she sings on “R U 4 $ale”\, doubling as a declaration of intent: to meet a burning world ofgreed and disarray with defiant\, masterfully assembled chaos. “You have two choices in this hellscapewe’re living in right now\, which is either fight or be depressed\,” says Miller. “Either one is okay. But\, youknow\, the choice was simple.”ADULT. is known for high-stakes catharsis on stage\, and recently deployed their back catalog of bassguitar songs from the 2000s\, retracing the prescientAnxiety Alwaysera partially out of necessity giventhe temperature of today’s political and technological dread. The response was instant and palpable: “Wewere in Paris\, and the kids were stage diving. And I was like\, this is rad. This is kind of the energy I wantto get back into\,” Kuperus says. The epiphany coincided with a series of setbacks—Kuperus’ bouts withchronic vertigo\, the loss of their close friend and collaborator Douglas McCarthy of Nitzer Ebb\, whom thealbum is dedicated to—all made profoundly worse under the looming regime. “We were stuck in the mudfor quite a while after the election\,” Miller says.“We had all the concepts\, but we would just be like\,‘What’s the point?’” With failing studio air conditioners and dead car batteries (their sacred space forlistening back to recordings)\, they often joked that the album might be cursed. Kuperus adds\, “We’re justlike everything’s breaking. We’re breaking. We’re broken.” The sentiment didn’t stick\, however\, as theyfound themselves ultimately too super-charged by fury to sit still. From watching Musk’s disgusting nazisalute to seeing their community struggle under the new regime to waiting months for a tariff-inflatedreplacement subwoofer\, the vibe heading intoKissing Luck Goodbyewas four middle fingers pointedstraight up.Rather than retreat\, they focused on the process\, revisiting their setup\, complete with their first new micsin 20 years. They obsessed over textures\, amassing a massive sample library taken from old thrift-storealbums\, previously used and unused ADULT. ingredients and new field recordings\, running myriad items\,including the buzz ofshop vacs\, through various pedals. PauseKissing Luck Goodbyeat any moment\,and you’re likely to count a dozen things happening at once in strange\, dizzying\, and dissonant harmony.Together with producer Nolan Gray\, whose involvement resulted from a chance encounter (he happenedto be the host of the short-term rental property where the two stayed—maybe there is stillsomeluck\,after all)\, the band pushed themselves harder than ever before to build a world with this record.Songs took shape from unusual places: “No One Is Coming” got its tempo from a skipping record theycaptured through a cell phone during a bnb stay for Kuperus’ 50th birthday. A bassline-driven industrialanthem that turns feedback into melody\, the track attacks inaction in the faceof fascism—“NO ONE ISCOMING TO YOUR RESCUE” is as simple as that: the resistance will not be provided by someone else.“None of It’s Fun” blitzes with breathless urgency\, high-speed glissades\, and pointed lines like “OH I AMTEARING MY GUTS OUT / LOOK AT ME…DO YOU THINK THAT THIS IS AMUSING?”The closer\, “Destroyers”\, was the last song they recorded and encompasses the techniques ADULT. haslearned not just throughout the making ofKissing Luck Goodbye\,but across their quarter-century as apioneeringcollaborative project. A straightforward bassline and kick collide with pulsing mantras\, then becomes completely saturated and cacophonous. Their younger selves might have let the song destroyitself\, but here\, they were able to steady the volume throughout the extremes\, making way for a poignant\,parting a cappella:WE PAY THE PRICE FORTHOSE IN POWEREXPLOITING YOUEXPLOITING MECONSUMING YOUCONSUMING MESICK SICK SICKSICKENINGIT IS USTHAT ARE DEVOUREDBY EVERYTHINGI WILL EAT YOUR HATE

SUMMARY:Gnoss
DESCRIPTION:Gnoss’ signature sound is a rich tapestry of acoustic layers. Outstanding musicianship\, deep traditional roots\, and contemporary compositional flair combine to create songs and tunes brimming with character. \nTriple Scots Trad Music Awards nominees\, the band have built an invested following through their forward-thinking take on traditional music and the unique warmth of their live shows. This has been proven through three consecutive sellout appearances at Glasgow’s world-famous Celtic Connections festival. \nTheir 2019 release\, Drawn From Deep Water\, was met with widespread praise (“a refreshing blast” – RnR) for its exemplary interplay\, nakedly emotional playing\, and well-chosen material. The 11-track album brought Gnoss to entranced audiences across France\, Italy\, and Denmark\, as well as throughout the UK. \nTheir follow-up album\, The Light of the Moon\, continued to demonstrate Gnoss’ dedication to their craft\, placing them firmly at the forefront of contemporary Scottish folk. The album earned a nomination for Album of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards and was described by Songlines as “an invigorating new direction for the Gnoss boys.” It took their online fanbase by storm\, gaining over one million streams in 2022. \nWith the release of their third album\, Stretching Skyward (2023)\, Gnoss reignited their collaboration with producer and engineer Scott Wood (Skerryvore)\, further exploring their acoustic roots while incorporating new electronic elements. Launch performances took place across the UK and Europe\, including standout appearances at the Orkney Folk Festival\, Cambridge Folk Festival\, Towersey Festival\, and Denmark’s Tønder Festival.

SUMMARY:Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain
DESCRIPTION:The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain returns to the Lensic by popular demand. Formed in 1985 as the antidote to mindless pop\, egocentric rock\, and the indulgent bluster of the music business\, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain donned black tuxedos and began giving ‘concerts’ in tiny rooms above old pubs. \nFour decades later\, they’re still thrilling audiences with their off-beat humor and four-stringed virtuosity. There are no drums\, pianos\, backing tracks\, guitars\, or banjos\, no pitch shifters or electronic trickery\, just an astonishing revelation of the rich palette of orchestration afforded by ukuleles and a menagerie of voices in a collision of post-punk performance and old classics. \nCome and celebrate the fortieth anniversary of this much-loved institution on a white-knuckle shopping-trolley dash through every kind of musical genre. From ABBA to ZZ Top\, Tchaikovsky to Nirvana\, bluegrass to Broadway\, all played on the ‘bonsai guitar.”
