Mission
In early 2025 Yeehaw505 was created by Derek Moore to provide an consolidated view of film and music events in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and surrounding areas in New Mexico. In our first year, Yeehaw505, collected over a thousand events. And it was done all without the use of AI. Yeehaw505 is entirely human-made and intends to stay that way.
In our second we’re curating only film and music events and creating a richer experience including better buttons, more supporting links, audio previews for music events, and much much more.
Channels
Yeehaw505 events are distributed across three channels. The main website, the mastodon feed, and the newsletter. Each channel contains a great deal of events. The main website is all the events. The mastodon feed is all the events but only the first of each film series, and the newsletter is a weekly collection of events.
We’re in the process of adding a fourth channel, an iOS app in the App Store. Testing has begun and we’re slated to launch some time this spring.

Derek Moore is the founder and creator of Yeehaw505. After a great conversation with two pals on NYE in 2024 he was inspired to make Yeehaw505. A skilled interactive designer based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. With nearly 20 years of experience in web design and development and an excellent play ethic, I’m enthusiastic about creating interactive experiences that are both enjoyable and helpful. In my free time I enjoy bouldering, watching movies, reading great books, cooking delicious food, and exploring mother nature.
